Happy New Year and welcome to 2025!!
January 10th, 2025
Fellow ERYC members,
Happy New Year to all our club members! The next boating season will be fast upon us as well as our yearly membership renewal! I’d like to thank all of our members for their continued support as well as those of you who have volunteered your time and participated in our ERYC activities. I’d like to take this opportunity to recap our 2024 ERYC season.
The funds we raised through various activities allowed us to support our club and the community in the following ways:
• ERYC was able to purchase a new Weber Grill and Blackstone
• ERYC was able to present another $1000 scholarship to dock hand Elizabeth Pike
• ERYC pancake breakfast raised $1000 that was donated to the ER fire department
• ERYC was able to donate $600 to the Harbor Days Fireworks Fund
Nate Reid did a great job organizing the 2024 golf outing that was enjoyed by many ERYC members.
Kathy Sutton organized another successful dinghy poker run!
Lori Hickey did a phenomenal job offering members and marina guests the opportunity to purchase ERYC swag. Lori also hit the pavement and collected door prizes for several of our club events.
As I pass the baton to the new Commodore, Brent Hickey, I would like to thank everyone for the great memories and participation in our club. I hope you will all continue to support our club through membership and participation. We are currently in need of a Rear Commodore and a Secretary. It will take all of us to continue to have a successful club! The commitment to becoming an officer does not require an excessive amount of time. Many of the current officers have been in these positions for several years now and we would like to see some of the other members step up and continue to help us keep our club a fun and prosperous social group for the best harbor on Lake Michigan. Please contact me or Brent Hickey if you have any questions about any of our officer positions or if you would like to take on one of the positions.
Hope to see you all May 15th!
It has been a pleasure serving as your Commadore for the past three years!
Sincerely,
Tony Krug
