Happy New Year and welcome to 2024!!
January 28th, 2024
And just like that we are almost through January of a new year! The Lions will play tonight to see if they can become the NFC Champions and go to the Super Bowl for the first time ever!
So far we have had a very mild winter, I won't complain if it stays this way. Although I do feel bad for the skiing and snowmobiling industry along with all the plow truck drivers. It has been a tough season for all of them.
As of this writing there are only 108 days until the harbor opens for the summer. WOOHOOO!! Here is an update that was not presented at the annual F.H.D. meeting last week. Swift Audio completed a full renovation of the audio system in the Pavilion. We now have a solid Wi-Fi connection and an audio rack that is going to simplify everything we do including a wireless microphone system, new speakers and more. This will be a great enhancement to our events next summer and beyond.
A big shout out to Paula Berent for organizing the Frozen Harbor Days get together last week. We had a great turn out, a LOT of fun and laughs, a chili cook off in town and we closed with our annual meeting Saturday evening. There were a lot of pictures posted on Facebook of the couple days we spent together if anyone wants to look. The name Frozen lived up to its word as the temps on Saturday morning hit a whopping 9° when we embarked on the chili cook off walk.
A quick note that we have a new Rear Commodore for this year, Tammy Feenstra!! Thank you Tammy for stepping up and accepting the nomination!

On behalf of the Officers we would like to wish everyone a safe and HEALTHY 2024 as we await the kickoff of the 2024 boating season.
Wolfs Den is "Out, clearing channels 16, 9 & 73”!
